Four Legged Fashion: Canine meets Couture was started in 2007 with a crazy idea that my dog Frank gave me while stuck in traffic. Fashion Group International of Dallas would ask designers from across the nation to make a one-of-a-kind "something" for a dog and auction it off for charity. It sounded so simple. FGI is a worldwide professional networking organization of people from all aspects of the design industry. Surely if anyone could put this on, we could.
In 2009 FGI hosted its first Four Legged Fashion event with over 200 people, 35 amazing pieces, professional dog models, champooch cocktails, and a lot of fun. We were pleased to give over $6,000 dollars away in grants to three small animal rescue groups through our FLF Fund. We also gave away $900 in scholarship money and prizes to the winners of the FLF design category in FGI's Career Day Symposium.
This year Frank and I think it will be even better. Won't you join us? We promise it will be a very fun and relaxed evening. -Terri Tomlinson Event Chair & Frank
