Three grant recipients named for 2010 FLF Funds
DALLAS, TX –Phoebe Couture dress designer, Kay Unger, was chosen as the Lead Dog designer for Fashion Group International (FGI) of Dallas’ Four Legged Fashion: Canine Meets Couture on May 14, 2010 at The Grand Pavilion in the Dallas Trade Mart, announced Terri Tomlinson, event founder and chair.
“We are thrilled to have Kay as our Lead Dog designer this year and value her support for Fashion Group International and our Four Legged Fashion Fund which benefits small animal rescue groups in the Dallas area,” Ms. Tomlinson commented in her announcement at a Dog Party, April 13 at State and Allen Lounge.
Ms. Tomlinson’s loyal companion, Frank The Tank, mascot and inspiration for Four Legged Fashion, will be outfitted in Ms. Unger’s biker chic look for the cocktail soiree.
The 2010 grant recipients are: EARS (Education and Animal Rescue Society), A Different Breed Rescue, and AKC Animal Services.

This second annual pup-tail party, a much anticipated event for stylish dog lovers, will culminate with a doggie runway show with pups of all sizes, shapes and breeds strutting custom designer creations. The one-of-a-kind doggie gear will be auctioned off during the event.

Four Legged Fashion: Canine Meets Couture set for May 14, 2010
DALLAS – Mar. 22, 2010 – There will be lots to bark about come May 14 when Four Legged Fashion: Canine Meets Couture stages its Second Annual fashion dog-fest benefiting Fashion Group International (FGI) Dallas’ Four Legged Fashion Fund.
Dogs dressed to the nines will strut down the doggie runway in custom creations from designers across the country. Items to be featured will include fanciful coats, dazzling collars, frilly dresses for little four-legged princesses, sumptuous dog beds fit for a king, clever dog bowls, and even a modern dog house or two. The entire FLF collection of fashionable dog gear will be displayed and auctioned off during the evening.
This fabulously fun, furry pup-tail party raises funds to support local animal rescue organizations that focus on rescue and care, adoption, education, and the reduction of animal overpopulation. Last year, FGI Dallas donated more than $6000 in grant money to three animal rescue organizations through the Four Legged Fashion Grant Fund.
WFAA-TV’s Good Morning Texas host, Amy Vanderhoeff, will emcee the evening’s events, along with the help of FLF mascot, Frank The Tank, a sweet-faced mixed breed who was rescued and later adopted by FLF founder, Terri Tomlinson.
Sponsorships available range from Mastiff Level at $8000, to Teacup at $1000, with a new “Best In Show” VIP package offered this year featuring a VIP table for 10, professional portrait, and a coveted spot in the Doggie Fashion Show for one’s cherished canine companion.

Designers participating in FLF will be announced at a “Dog Party on the Patio” from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13 at State and Allen Lounge, 2400 Allen Street in Uptown Dallas. Guests are invited to bring their four-legged companions.
Four Legged Fashion: Canine Meets Couture opens its doors for cocktails and hors d’oeurves at 6:30 p.m., Friday, May 14, at the Grand Pavilion, Dallas Trade Mart, 2050 North Stemmons Freeway. General admission tickets are $75, with VIP seats at $125 and tables of 10 at $1000.
